Canít get too much of a good thing

the Home Show was followed up the next weekend with the Adirondack Sports Expo with a 20,000 gal tank of water (20x32 ft) on the floor to demonstrate proper kayaking.

The emphasis is outdoor fun and the Expo scored a coup with Tour De France 2006 winner Floyd Landis attending.

Floyd is out of competitive racing but he was there to support the Tour de Battenkill and a new event June 1&2 at Hunter Mountain - the Gran Fondo Catskills (gran fondo is Italian fore great endurance).

The Tour de Battenkill is April 13& 14 and Dieter Drake, organizer says that Floyd hasn't committed yet but he's hoping he'll participate in the Tour again. Landis came in second the two times he has competed in the Tour.

It's just across the Hudson in Washington County. This is a national event sporting event that we can support..

It's starting to get late in the season but Gore and Willard Mountains were there to talk up spring skiing and to say it's not too early to get ready for next year.

Of course, the climbing peak was up and kids were testing their climbing skills. Nicely roped so it's safe to slip - and slip some did.
