As always (mostly) weather cooperated and the Flag Day Ceremony proceeded under sunny skies. Everyday heros were saluted; each with a family member at the Dorothy Nolan School
Proud kids with good reason to feel proud. Some when their Everyday Hero was not able to attend, came to the podium to receive the certificate and medal for their hero.
Fourth and fifth graders lined the grass around the flag pole while honored guests were in the shade.
It was a great day on the Fourteenth. John Adams would have loved. He introduced the Resolution on June 14, 1777 to Continental Congress Resolved, that the Flag of the Thirteen United States shall be Thirteen Stripes, Alternated Red and White on a Blue Field Representing a new Constellation
