Saturday October 5 at the Maple Avenue Fire Company was a day for smiles, tears, memories, a hug when a name was mentioned.
In the 67 years since the Company began in 1946 52 who have served the Maple Avenue Fire Company have died.
Their names have been etched on stones placed in front of the new electronic sign. As others die who have served the Company their stones will join the 52 now in place.
If you have know a Maple Avenue fire fighter who has died, the Company invites you to stop and visit the Walk of Honor.
