The Geyser Road School Science Fair is a great celebration of the scientific method and all of sciences accomplishments. For instance, one student studied how all the artificial sweeteners form rock candy like crystals, and made the surprising discovery that one of the sweeteners crystallized so quickly he could see the crystals growing as he watched.
Besides the students own projects, there were a few other stations set up to help offer a little first hand experience with science. Stuffie from the Children’s Museum was at hand to give his all to teaching anatomy. There were demonstrations of radio controlled machines, and the way Dry Ice interacts with water.
For the more hands on, there was a pegboard for making and testing a track for controlling the fall of a ping pong ball, and a table for dissecting Owl Pellets.
Afterwards, there were awards for everyone.
