As I watched the parade celebrating Rock City Falls Volunteer Fire Department after 75 years of service, it occurred to me that part of why the Town can honor its brave volunteers with a parade is because the new sidewalks make it much easier to come to watch and cheer. And there were a lot of spectators cheering.
It wasn’t just the spectators cheering on the Milton Eagles, the parade featured supporting recognition from fire companies in Ballston Spa, Stillwater, Greenfield, Middle Grove, Galway, Round Lake, and Malta. Plus non-fireman supporters.
The parade was followed up with a celebration for the rest of the day in Burgess-Kimball Memorial park.
A small message to the Milton Eagles, from the Geyser/Milton Report, for your 75 years of service making everyone a bit safer, thank you.
