Please try to remember that, the Short Wing Piper Club would appreciate it.
Back in 1947, financial troubles pushed the Piper aircraft company to redesign a new shorter winged aircraft to sell to the public. First they made the Vagabond, then the Clipper, the Pacer and Tri-Pacer, and finally the Colt was the last model of Short Wing Piper.
Despite the manufacturing run ending over 50 years ago, the Short Wing Pipers can still be seen flying into and out of Saratoga County Airport thanks to the work of people like the Short Wing Piper club, who have sought out these planes and restored them to as good as when they left the factory. In some cases better than when they left the factory.
