The park brings the fish, kids bring buckets.
And that's how the Spa Brook in the State Park gets restocked with brown trout.
Always on the Wednesday of School Spring break. It doesn't matter what kind of day it is. Well, a little. On the 20th there was a downpour at 9 am but it stopped and parents with umbrellas and kids in slickers were starting to line up at 10 to wait the big truck with the brown trout.
The picnic tables weren't being used. But Friends of Spa Park had hot dogs on grilling, the rains had stopped and the big hatchery truck arrived and the fish distribution began at 11 am right on schedule.
